Melanie Nasser - Ballet Instructor

 

Melanie is also an accomplished and experienced ballet instructor, having served as both a faculty member and co-director of the Tulsa Ballet Center for Dance Education in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is available for guest teaching, workshops, and master classes, and is always excited to expose young dancers to the complementary discipline of Pilates.

 

As a professional dancer, she performed with Tulsa Ballet for many seasons until retiring as Principal Dancer. Renowned for her effortless technique and the strong professionalism she brought to many characters, she danced in Miss Julie, Don Quixote, La Sylphide, Anna Karenina, Gaite Parisienne, Rodeo, and Paquita in addition to roles in various contemporary works by such choreographers as Heinz Poll, Laura Dean, Bill T. Jones, David Shimotakahara, and Lynn Taylor Corbett.

 

She has also performed as a dancer in the International Choreographers Competition in Tokyo, Japan.
